Our rapidly expanding logistics company is seeking an Order Picker in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to join our dedicated warehouse team. This vital role focuses on accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, ensuring our customers receive exactly what they ordered. You will be working with a diverse range of products and utilizing technology to streamline the picking process. A strong emphasis is placed on efficiency, accuracy, and maintaining a high level of Safety in all tasks. If you are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelving and storage locations.
- Use RF scanners to guide picking activities and manage inventory.
- Pack items securely and correctly for safe transit.
- Perform quality assurance checks on picked items and packed orders.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist in conducting inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Report any order discrepancies or potential issues to management.
- Contribute to a positive team dynamic and support colleagues in achieving targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
- Experience with RF scanning devices and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Physical capacity for standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to handle Lifting tasks involving items up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- A commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
