Job Summary:
Join our expanding logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Austin, Texas! We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to manage the front-end of our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming inventory and shipments. Your keen attention to detail is crucial for verifying quantities against purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies or damages, and ensuring that all items are properly logged into our inventory management system. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain from the moment goods arrive. Maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area is paramount, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to perform some lifting and to stand for extended periods. We value reliability, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
  • Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Document all received items accurately using the inventory management system.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods.
  • Stage received items for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and use required PPE.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computers and inventory management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
