Are you an experienced and certified Forklift Operator? Our busy distribution center in Denver, Colorado, is looking for skilled professionals to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations, ensuring materials are safely transported throughout the warehouse. A keen eye for safety, precise maneuvering skills, and adherence to operational procedures are critical for success in this position. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all operators to uphold the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
- Transport goods and materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage merchandise according to warehouse layout and safety protocols.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Follow all logistics operational procedures and safety guidelines, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks and handle loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial awareness and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Must possess a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
