Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy? Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the integrity of our warehouse stock. This vital role involves overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving to shipping, ensuring that our data accurately reflects our physical stock. You will be instrumental in minimizing discrepancies, optimizing stock levels, and improving overall operational efficiency within our logistics network. Your expertise will contribute directly to smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, turns, and potential obsolescence.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Identify and tag damaged or expired goods for proper disposition.
  • Work with the logistics team to forecast inventory needs and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and inventory management principles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
