We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Technician to join our innovative logistics operations in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse systems and equipment. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that all machinery and systems operate at peak performance. Your duties will include conducting safety checks, performing minor repairs, and coordinating with external service providers for major repairs. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within a warehouse environment is essential. We are dedicated to providing a safe workplace, and this role requires strict adherence to all safety regulations, proper lockout/tagout procedures, and the consistent use of appropriate PPE. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sorters, and forklifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues within the warehouse.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment complies with safety standards.
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow all safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in an industrial setting.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing warehouse automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in performing safety checks and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
