Our rapidly growing logistics company in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a motivated Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Coordinator will oversee daily activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment. You will be instrumental in improving operational efficiencies, managing staff, and ensuring a safe working environment for all. Experience in warehouse logistics is essential, along with a commitment to high standards of safety and performance. We expect our coordinators to champion best practices and foster a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best practices for lifting and material handling.
- Maintain equipment and coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Address any operational issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability within the warehouse team, emphasizing the importance of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in inventory control procedures.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
