We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced warehouse operations in Dallas, Texas. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in the initial stage of our logistics process, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed. You will be responsible for managing the receiving dock, verifying inbound quantities against purchase orders, documenting any damages or discrepancies, and preparing goods for put-away. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring the integrity of our inventory from the moment it arrives.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately document all received items in the inventory system.
- Assign appropriate storage locations for incoming inventory.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Ensure all paperwork related to receiving is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting, typically up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear provided PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
