We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team at our Orlando, Florida warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts and other machinery to load, unload, and transport goods, as well as assisting with inventory management and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of material handling equipment and a strong commitment to safety. Accuracy and efficiency are key in this role to ensure the smooth flow of operations. You will be required to follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with put-away and retrieval of inventory.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock.
- Secure materials properly for transport and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Support order picking and packing activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
