We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our dynamic warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibilities will include picking items from inventory using RF scanners and preparing them for shipment by packing them securely. This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain smooth operations. Safety is a core value; adherence to all company safety policies and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on customer orders.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring items are protected.
- Verify order details against picked items before packing and shipment.
- Label packages correctly for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate manual and powered warehouse equipment safely.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear mandated PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to team performance goals for picking and packing productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience, particularly in picking or packing, is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to read and comprehend order instructions.
- Keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be capable of frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding and application of warehouse safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
