We are seeking a motivated Shipping Clerk for our busy distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient and accurate dispatch of all outgoing orders. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying order contents, and ensuring packages are properly sealed and ready for transit. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, including generating labels and documentation.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure correct items are packaged.
- Communicate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect packages for damage before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update systems accordingly.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as organizing the shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be committed to safety and wear required PPE.
