Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland, where you'll play a vital role in our logistics operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual to manage the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, ensuring proper packaging, and verifying order accuracy before dispatch. You will work closely with the warehouse and transportation teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods from our facility to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, etc.).
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure correct items are shipped.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and resolve any shipping-related issues.
- Operate shipping software and equipment as required.
- Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE for warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures is essential.
