Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound logistics of our Charlotte, North Carolina warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched in a timely manner. You will coordinate with carriers, prepare shipping labels, and maintain organized shipping records. This position requires a proactive approach and a strong understanding of shipping procedures within a logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy against orders.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and printers.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly shipping area to support efficient logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and WMS.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Willingness to perform occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards.
