Our Detroit, Michigan facility is looking for an Order Picker to join our warehouse team! As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our logistics process by accurately retrieving items for customer orders. This position requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to Safety. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, identifying specified items, and ensuring they are ready for the next stage of fulfillment. We prioritize a safe working environment, mandating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify the correct items and quantities before proceeding to packing.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged items immediately.
- Follow all warehouse Safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to Safety and following instructions carefully.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Good organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
