We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent Shipping Clerk in our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility. This role is essential for ensuring that all products leave our warehouse accurately and on time, meeting customer expectations and maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for processing outbound shipments, generating necessary documentation, packing orders with care, and coordinating with transport providers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of efficiency and safety in a warehouse setting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all outgoing shipments.
- Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Verify order details against shipping documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickup and delivery scheduling.
- Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with shipment status and tracking information.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping station and supplies inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform quality checks on outbound orders before dispatch.
- Communicate with warehouse and customer service teams regarding shipping statuses and issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and packing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using computers and WMS software.
- Capacity to perform moderate Lifting, up to 45 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
