Join our growing team as an Inventory Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida! This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, processing inventory adjustments, and ensuring that our warehouse management system (WMS) accurately reflects our physical stock. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding operational efficiency within our logistics hub. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching documentation and conducting physical checks.
- Process inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers in the WMS.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records, both electronic and physical.
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages to management.
- Assist with the put-away process, ensuring items are stored in their correct locations.
- Identify damaged or obsolete inventory and follow established procedures for its disposition.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, receiving, and shipping departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support management in identifying process improvements for inventory control.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform accurate record-keeping and data entry.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Experience with physical inventory counts and cycle counting methodologies.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
