This position is crucial for the efficient and safe handling of materials within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stock, and retrieve inventory, ensuring that all movements are conducted with precision and adherence to safety guidelines. Your role is vital in supporting our supply chain operations and maintaining operational flow. We prioritize a secure working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and effectively to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper handling.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas, maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting is required.
- Valid forklift certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE.
