- ECHO is currently looking for Housing Case Managers to fill openings in our Florence office.
- Eastern Carolina Housing Organization (ECHO) is a non-profit, homeless service provider which encompasses the 13 northeastern counties of South Carolina and 3 counties in southeastern North Carolina. The corporate office is located in Myrtle Beach, SC, with satellite offices in Sumter & Florence, SC.

Responsibilities:
- Determines eligibility of new clients
- Locates reasonable housing that meets clients' needs
- Negotiates/mediates with landlords on behalf of the client
- Manages client's case plans from beginning to end, making referrals to outside support agencies when appropriate
- Follows the Housing First, client-centered approach to serving program participants
- Transports clients in company vehicle when necessary
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to document all interactions with clients in a clear, unbiased language
- Ability to take innovative and creative approaches to difficult situations
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years in determining eligibility for Federal/State Housing programs preferred
- General knowledge of standard office equipment
- Experience with trauma-informed services and motivational interviewing is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds with assistance
- Working in the field with clients to complete intakes, housing inspections, and other functions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $45,000.00 per year
