Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across commercial, governmental, and institutional markets.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with executives, facility managers, and sustainability teams.
- Lead sales presentations, product demos, and client site visits (travel up to 30%).
- Develop and execute go-to-market and outreach strategies through networking, conferences, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage contract negotiations and close high-value, multi-year SaaS agreements.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, and customer success teams to ensure flawless onboarding and delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, and present pipeline reports to executive and business development leadership.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and policy developments to continuously refine our value proposition.
Qualifications
- Proven success in B2B business development, State/Local acquisition environments, SaaS sales, or energy/sustainability sectors preferred.
- Skilled communicator with a strong consultative selling approach and executive-level presentation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Proficient with CRM platforms, analytics dashboards, and virtual presentation tools.
- Strategic thinker with experience driving market expansion and revenue growth for technology solutions.
- Comfortable with moderate travel for conferences, site visits, and client meetings.
- Substantiated sales volume and initial network.
