Automotive Controller

HHM Talent is assisting a client search for an Automotive Controller in Daphne, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily accounting functions including AP, AR, billing, cash management, and month-end close
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations
• Manage and mentor the accounting team
• Monitor and enforce internal controls across all stores
• Partner with department managers and the GM on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
• Maintain compliance with manufacturer, lender, and audit requirements
• Prepare and submit factory statements, sales tax, and other required filings
• Assist with year-end audits, cost reviews, and operational improvements
• Support leadership with KPIs, reporting dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis

Qualifications:

• MUST have experience as an Automotive Controller
• Strong understanding of dealership accounting schedules and reconciliations
• Proficient in CDK, Reynolds, DealerTrack, or similar DMS
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
