Host/Busser

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring smooth service flow. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and prior experience in food service or hospitality. This position offers an opportunity to develop guest relations skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas
• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly
• Support the restaurant team during busy hours to ensure timely service
• Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for reservations or guest check-in
• Uphold high standards of guest service, including phone etiquette and guest relations

Qualifications

• Previous host/host experience or food service background preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hospitality, hotel services, or serving roles is advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent multitasking skills
• Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
