Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning foods
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas
• Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely delivery of prepared items
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
• Help with trash disposal and recycling to keep the kitchen environment tidy and compliant with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
• Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing kitchen areas
• Willingness to learn new skills related to food prep and kitchen operations
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of culinary processes including bussing, cooking, serving, and general hospitality practices
