The Allen Company is a leading provider of Ag Lime, Crushed Stone, Aggregate and Gravel with four quarry locations conveniently located in Central Kentucky. We provide a wide variety of sized stones, aggregate, base products and, screenings for use in asphalt, concrete, erosion control, and other various applications in the construction material industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Quarry Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Boonesboro Quarry. This role is vital to daily operations and includes operating heavy equipment, assisting with production, and supporting overall quarry activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as off-road trucks, loaders, roof bolters, and excavators.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of crushing and screening plants.
• Perform routine tasks including shoveling, greasing, and cleaning around equipment and plant areas.
• Support general quarry functions to ensure safe and efficient production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the desire and ability to learn.
• Dependable, hardworking, and punctual.
• Previous equipment operation experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable climbing, working from heights, and entering confined spaces.
• Willing and able to work outdoors year-round, including underground work.
• Flexible to work various shifts, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
