Über
Family-owned, and operated Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor, with locations in Eastern MA and Southern NH, is looking to grow our CAD department by adding a team-oriented and experienced CAD Designer.

As part of the our team, you will communicate with internal project management staff, clients and subcontractors as you design interior plumbing and mechanical layouts, as well as, exterior appearance details of various structures, including but not limited to, Multi-Residential, Commercial, Life Sciences, Historical and Senior/Student Housing. You would be responsible for participating in the design process of plumbing and mechanical building systems and preparing detailed design calculations and drawings to code.
Responsibilities:
- Use software to create and edit detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects
- Develop Plumbing & Mechanical designs from concept through completion of construction
- Prepare plumbing and mechanical design calculations and system layouts
- Collaborate with others to establish timelines and problem solve
- Assist in conflict resolution
- Prepare detailed reports and narratives, as necessary
- Coordinate plumbing and mechanical design requirements with architecture, structure and other disciplines
- Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards
- Attend project meetings with clients and subcontractors
- Develop As-Built documents with information received from field team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred
- Computer Aided Drafting and Design software knowledge and experience
- 2 years' experience designing plumbing/mechanical systems– preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word &, Excel, Revit and Construction Management software (ProCore, etc.)
- Knowledge of industry, math, engineering, and materials
- Ability to analyze data, situations and produce creative solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Team oriented, with the ability to collaborate with others to solve problems
- Some in-state travel may be required

Pay: $60, $90,000.00 per year
