The Spa at Oaks on the River Luxury Boutique Resort is seeking a skilled and licensed Massage Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide exceptional experiences by offering a range of massage therapy services to our valued guests. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of various massage techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering personalized and rejuvenating experiences.

Duties

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual conditions and goals.
• Apply advanced techniques such as physiologically informed massage, pain management strategies, and occupational health practices to optimize client outcomes.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and treatment plans in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend suitable therapies for ongoing wellness or injury recovery.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to hygiene standards and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
• Demonstrated experience in patient service, customer care, and occupational health settings.
• Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education.
• Prior experience working in a med spa or similar wellness environment is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
