Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Implement and follow personalized care plans designed by healthcare teams
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a comfortable living space
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's/dementia, or memory care needs
- Ability to assist with ADLs and perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate nature with excellent patience and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident dignity
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; experience in hospice or home health is a plus
