Controller

We are a growing group of automotive service, collision repair, and real estate businesses seeking a hands-on Controller / Director of Finance to manage accounting operations while helping build and improve financial systems and processes.

This role is ideal for a strong senior accountant or controller who enjoys bringing structure to growing businesses and wants exposure to higher-level financial planning without stepping into a full CFO role.

What You'll Do

Accounting & Controller Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for multiple entities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

• Maintain general ledger accuracy and reconciliations

• Oversee AP / AR and support strong collections discipline

• Manage or oversee payroll

• Track job costing and gross margins by service line and location

• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures

• Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings and compliance

Systems, Process & Finance Support

• Create, document, and improve accounting and finance processes

• Help standardize reporting across entities

• Improve cash flow visibility through weekly and short-term forecasting

• Assist with annual budgeting and budget vs. actual reporting

• Provide variance analysis and clear financial explanations

• Track loans, debt schedules, and key financial obligations

• Support ownership with financial analysis for hiring, equipment, and growth decisions

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of accounting or finance experience

• Experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller

• Experience in multi-entity or owner-operated businesses

• Comfortable building systems, not just maintaining them

• Solid understanding of cash flow and job costing

• Comfortable working directly with ownership

• CPA a plus, not required

Compensation & Benefits

• $75,000 – $100,000 base salary, depending on experience
