Bartender/Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, efficiently managing beverage and food orders, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong knowledge of POS systems, food safety standards, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclub, banquet service, or food industry settings is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering memorable experiences while maintaining high standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve beverage and food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Prepare and serve drinks responsibly, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently while maintaining accuracy in transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with health standards
• Assist with catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service and guest satisfaction
• Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while promoting specials or featured items
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, nightclub, or banquet settings; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent time management skills
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or tips accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding alcohol laws and regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance
