Job Summary

We are currently seeking a versatile and hardworking Facility Maintenance Technician to join our field team. In this role, you will be the face of Frison Maintenance Service, heading to various job sites to perform essential repairs, routine inspections, and property improvements. This isn't a "desk job"—you will be on the move, troubleshooting diverse issues and using your hands to keep our clients' properties in peak condition. The ideal candidate is a "jack-of-all-trades" who takes pride in a job well done and enjoys the variety of working on different projects every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Repairs: Perform a variety of "handyman" tasks including fixing leaky faucets, repairing door hardware, patching drywall, and touching up interior/exterior paint.
  • System Upkeep: Conduct routine checks on basic electrical and plumbing systems to identify and resolve minor issues before they become major expenses.
  • Landscape & Exterior Care: Assist with lawn maintenance, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing of driveways, walkways, and siding to maintain curb appeal.
  • Installation Projects: Install new flooring (tile, hardwood, or laminate), hang cabinetry, and set up appliances or fixtures according to project blueprints and client needs.
  • Tool & Supply Management: Maintain an organized inventory of tools and materials in the company vehicle; ensure all equipment is cleaned and serviced regularly.
  • Client Communication: Interact professionally with property owners to explain repair processes, provide status updates, and ensure total customer satisfaction upon project completion.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and local building codes to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and our clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2–4 years of proven experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or carpentry).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools (drills, saws, pressure washers, etc.) and a solid understanding of home repair techniques.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in tight spaces (crawlspaces/attics), climb ladders, and lift/carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Problem-Solving: A natural ability to look at a broken system or structure and figure out the most efficient way to fix it properly.
  • Reliability: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory, as you will be operating company vehicles to travel between job sites.
  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills and a clean, professional appearance. We work in people's homes and businesses, so trust is our #1 priority.
