Triport International Fleet is looking for an experienced, Fleet Maintenance Shop Manager to join our Fleet Maintenance Department at our Wilkes-Barre, PA shop. As the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll have the opportunity to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, coordinate and build work schedules, and monitor the distribution of work flow between employees.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and coordinating daily work schedules; monitoring Technician's daily productivity
  • Overseeing maintenance of all company-owned equipment in the fleet including but not limited to Tractor Trailers, Heavy Duty Trucks and Forklifts
  • Counseling employees about work related issues and provide guidance
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment for all employees ensuring OSHA standards are met
  • Ensuring timely preventive/predictive maintenance is performed
  • Communicating with Operations Leadership to ensure all equipment requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensuring proper filing and archiving of shop-related documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, Inventory software and experience working in an enterprise wide system.

Key responsibilities include monitoring workflow, estimating labor and material needs, and maintaining accurate records, reports, and maintenance documentation. The Fleet Service Manager trains and instructs staff in proper work methods, safe operation of tools and equipment, and established safety procedures. The role also contributes to the development of departmental goals, objectives, and performance standards, and may be required to perform mechanical duties during emergencies or peak workload periods.

This position also includes supervising and evaluating assigned personnel, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and ensuring effective communication across the teams. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and service to the community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $100,000.00 per year
