Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Direct Support Professional, based in the Greater Richmond Region. Responsibilities include providing daily support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities, assisting them in achieving personal goals, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Tasks involve supporting residents with daily living activities, fostering independence, facilitating community engagement, and implementing training or development programs as needed. You will work hands-on to promote dignity, respect, and quality of life for all individuals served.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build positive relationships
• Willingness to participate in and apply Training provided to deliver effective care
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to enhancing lives
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a nurturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in relevant fields are a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
