Lead CNC Programmer‑Machinist

In Lawrenceville, GA, you'll be the go-to expert guiding a crew of CNC machinists while staying hands-on with the tools and code that make precision possible. You'll start the day aligning priorities, reviewing prints, queuing programs, and ensuring each machine cell is set for quality and throughput. From there, you'll coach, troubleshoot, and keep production moving smoothly.

• Assign work, provide direction, and remove roadblocks for a team of CNC machinists.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precise components to specification.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect first-article and in-process parts to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Partner with engineering and production to diagnose machining issues and refine processes.
• Coach and mentor junior machinists in best practices and shop safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and uphold safety protocols.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that elevate quality and reduce cycle times.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a machining-related technical credential is preferred.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including 2+ years leading others.
• Fluency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong command of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
• Hands-on experience across a range of CNC machines and tooling.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability and close attention to detail.
• Clear, constructive communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
