Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects across various properties and facilities.
- Diagnose complex HVAC issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform service technician duties including troubleshooting refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Oversee plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components related to HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to plan effective solutions.
- Supervise field service activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed during equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct equipment repairs including welding, appliance repair, and general mechanical repairs to maintain system integrity.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Manage property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system performance data for ongoing analysis.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler operation.
- Proven service technician experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Proficiency in equipment repair including welding techniques and appliance servicing.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with field service operations across commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively while maintaining safety standards.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for site travel responsibilities.
- Experience with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems is preferred.
