Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, and residential painting. This role requires leadership qualities, supervisory experience, and proficiency with various maintenance tools and systems such as CMMS and schematics. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components including motors, belts, wiring, and plumbing systems.
• Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated systems.
• Conduct welding repairs as needed for machinery or structural components.
• Execute residential painting projects as part of facility upgrades or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Assist in training team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
• Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and understanding of electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
• Welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks.
• Experience with CMMS software for work order management.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and vendors.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and standing for extended periods.
