Job Summary

The Solutions Engineer 3 (Sales Engineering) is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of complex data network and voice solutions for business class customers across a national footprint. Works as a collaborative member of the indirect channel sales team to market and sell the Comcast Business, Comcast Business Global, and Nitel advanced solutions portfolios. Collaborates with Partner Sales Managers and indirect channel sales leaders on presentations and the technical design of new sales. Provides insight to customers on current network solutions. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and share expertise but does not have direct reports. The Solutions Engineer 3 role will be virtually based on the northeast portion of the US with candidates ideally residing in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Must be comfortable with annual travel expectations up to 50% to partner sites mainly located in the northeastern part of the US.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist the Indirect Channel Partner Sales & Development Management team in the development of the overall business strategy to acquire new customers through indirect channel partners. Contributes to costing and pricing of a solution.
  • Assist in generating new business through indirect channel partnerships.
  • Design solutions for the customer that meets their business applications, as well as assures protected circuit design, disaster recovery situations and appropriate bandwidth for future growth.
  • Translate complex technical design requirements into information that customers can understand and respond to.
  • Serve as a national technical expert to review RFP responses for content and accuracy before they are submitted.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise for National events and technical trade shows.
