About the Role

The Controller is a senior manager level contributor within the SciAps Finance group and management team. It is a dynamic role that offers growth and exposure to many areas of accounting and finance. Reporting to the Finance Director, this individual plays a critical role in helping the accounting team scale processes and systems to support the rapid growth of the company. This position also will work directly with Operations and cross functionally on internal controls, audit and management of the ERP system, currently "Expandable". This is an ideal position for an accounting professional with excellent project and people management skills who is energized by creating value for the business. We are looking for a top performer who can adapt and manage multiple priorities efficiently, while understanding the positive impact of their role to the overall organization. The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates a strong knowledge of GAAP with attention to detail, absolute discretion and strong collaboration skills. This position is responsible for internal reporting in Elevate with the current Malvernpanalytical operating environment

Opportunities and Responsibilities:

• Direct manager to the accounting team responsible for AP, AR, GL, Consolidation accounting with subsidary I/C as well as I/C reconciliations within the Malverpanalytical process.
• Manager of the monthly close process through booking journal entries and ensuring all Balance Sheet reconciliations are current, accurate and complete.
• Responsible for the general ledger for all entities; both foreign and domestic.
• Drive and constantly improve the accounts payable and expense reimbursement process
• Supervise and appropriately delegate to the Staff Accountant
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform domestic and international consolidations and intercompany accounting
