Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A/P Mechanic-GA Aircraft to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise repairs, inspections, and maintenance on aircraft components, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal performance. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of aircraft reliability and safety in accordance with industry regulations. Duties

  • Conduct detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and electrical systems using schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Perform assembly, fabrication, and modification of aircraft components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Utilize computer-based Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work performed and track maintenance activities.
  • Execute root cause analysis on mechanical or electrical issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet strict specifications and tolerances.
  • Follow all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), AS9100 quality standards, and company policies to guarantee compliance during maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in the fabrication of sheet metal parts or assemblies required for aircraft repair or modification projects.
  • Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy aircraft components during maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct equipment repair and calibration of testing instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure accurate diagnostics.
  • Support ongoing training in aviation standards, military specifications when applicable, and new technologies related to aircraft maintenance.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems including airframe structures, power plants, avionics, electrical wiring schematics, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA or AutoCAD for technical drawings and schematics interpretation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision instruments.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with military standards and regulations relevant to aviation maintenance practices.
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes related to aerospace or vehicle maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of CMMS platforms for work order management and documentation purposes.
  • Excellent understanding of FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting technical procedures clearly.
  • Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or working in confined spaces within an aircraft environment.   • Willing to travel to and from job sites.
  • Availability to be on call for AOG support
  • Schedule will be on an as needed basis. Hours will vary depending on workload

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 80 per week
