We are seeking candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and a passion for transforming students so that they can reach their full potential.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher who must be able to adapt to different learning styles and create a customized learning plan for their students. We want our tutors to have the integrity and knowledge to push students to excel beyond expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Physically located in or near Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Apache Junction, Mesa, Queen Creek or San Tan Valley area. Online opportunities are available for those outside of the areas above.
• Online tutors: must have highspeed internet, PC, with microphone & stylus, comfortable using one of our tutoring platforms & 1-year experience teaching or tutoring in online environment.
• In-Person Tutoring: Must have a reliable transportation (a vehicle) and a computer with internet access.
• Bachelor's degree or College Student in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree and professional experience tutoring or teaching students in the areas of Reading &/or Math. Teaching credential is a plus but not required for this position.
• Previous experience in teaching/ tutoring is required.
• After School Tutoring - Must be able to work at least 3 weekdays between 3:00-7:00pm, do not apply if you are only available on the weekends. *Summer tutoring may have daytime hours available as well.
• Home School Tutoring - Must be available to between 10:00AM-3:00PM.
• Ability to build rapport with students.
• Demonstrated knowledge and success with the subjects matter you will be tutoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage and educate students in a non-classroom setting.
• Comfortable traveling to the student's home, assignments will be placed together so commute is minimum.
• Design and implement lessons at varying academic levels.
• Establish academic goals and milestones with students.
• Document and communicate with progress reports.
• Provide constructive feedback for students.

Location (YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN AT LEAST 1 OF THE LOCATIONS LISTED): Mesa, Queen Creek, or San Tan Valley for in-person assignments.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: starts at $22-$25/hour, bonus opportunities as well.

Schedule: Hours vary. Most assignments reside on the weekdays.
