FedEx delivery driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional FedEx Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering packages to customers, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient route operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities to work with various delivery equipment including box trucks and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload packages using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
• Deliver packages accurately and on time across assigned routes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist with route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries professionally and ensuring proper package handling.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including signatures and proof of delivery documentation.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading, moving, and organizing packages as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred, especially with route driving in a commercial setting.
• Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, moving, or operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proven ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving packages safely.
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license) with a clean driving record.
