Our client, a leader in the industrial gases sector, is seeking a dedicated
Safety Coordinator
to join their team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the safety and compliance department supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive safety mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Lead daily safety meetings to promote a safety-first culture
• Verify the implementation of all turnaround safety processes
• Ensure receipt and accuracy of training documentation such as forklift certifications
• Follow up on incidents and near-misses to ensure corrective actions are taken
• Conduct on-site inspections to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of experience in a Safety Coordinator role within refinery or petrochemical industries
• Degree in health and safety related discipline and/or current CSP certification preferred
• Subject matter expertise in OSHA, MSHA, NFPA, NEC, CGA, Alberta OHS regulations
• Proven experience in site auditing, assessment, and coaching
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and training skills with a positive safety attitude
