Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven AVP of Employee Relations to join our growing team
The AVP, Human Resources is responsible for leading the Employee Relations function and building and scaling a dedicated HR Business Partner (HRBP) organization to support Amerit's international operations. This role plays a critical part in shaping how HR partners with the business—balancing risk mitigation and compliance with proactive, people-centered leadership that drives performance, engagement, and retention.
Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday $185, $200,000.00 base depending on experience and location plus a bonus percentage.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Organizational Strategy
- Lead Employee Relations and HR Business Partner functions across the company.
- Build and scale a modern HR operating model aligned to business needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership.
Employee Relations Leadership
- Oversee high-volume, complex employee relations matters and investigations.
- Ensure consistent and legally compliant ER practices.
- Partner closely with Legal and Operations.
HR Business Partner Function Development
- Build and lead a dedicated HRBP team.
- Define HRBP role clarity, expectations, and metrics.
- Enable HRBPs to support leaders with workforce planning and engagement.
Data & Insights
- Track and analyze ER trends and HR metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
Key Competencies and Minimum Education:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- 10+ years progressive HR experience with senior leadership exposure.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws required; international knowledge a plus.
- Experience in multi-site, operational environments strongly preferred.
- Union relations and contract negotiation experience a plus.
