What You'll Do

  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments and reassessments
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans
  • Complete FBAs, FAs, and evaluation reports as needed
  • Supervise, mentor, and support RBTs, including competency assessments and ongoing training to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Provide parent/caregiver training and maintain strong family relationships
  • Monitor client progress through data analysis and treatment plan adjustments
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in all clinical interactions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and strengthen clinical skills

About Step Ahead ABA

We deliver high-quality, ethical ABA services to children and families across multiple states. Our services are built around individual needs, fast access to care, and support for both clients and staff. Our leadership team brings over a decade of clinical and operational ABA experience to ensure our RBTs and BCBAs are supported, respected, and set up for success.

What this role requires

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to client homes within service areas (limited remote work may be approved)
  • Experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and supervising RBTs
  • Comfortable working with children and families in home and community settings
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Prior ABA and supervisory experience required

Work Environment
Services are provided primarily in-home and in community-based settings, with some remote work possible depending on role responsibilities and approval. Expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • Traveling to client homes throughout assigned service areas
  • Respecting each family's home, culture, and personal space
  • Being physically active with clients as needed (sitting, playing, bending, lifting, running)
  • Maintaining a professional, distraction-free environment during virtual sessions or meetings
  • Protecting client confidentiality and complying with HIPAA requirements at all times

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments and reassessments
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans
  • Complete FBAs, FAs, and evaluation reports as needed
  • Supervise, mentor, and support RBTs, including competency assessments and ongoing training
  • Provide parent/caregiver training and maintain consistent communication with families
  • Monitor client progress through data analysis and treatment plan modifications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to support client outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in CentralReach and internal systems
  • Utilize evidence-based practices aligned with family values and expectations
  • Uphold ethical standards and the BACB Code of Ethics in all clinical interactions

Policies & Procedures: All team members are expected to follow Step Ahead ABA's professional standards, policies, and procedures. Upon hire, you will review and sign an acknowledgment of the employee handbook, which outlines expectations related to conduct, ethics, documentation, confidentiality, and performance.
