Barista/Staff Member

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage service within a dynamic retail setting, supporting both customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, boba drinks and other specialty drinks following established recipes and standards.
• Operate POS systems for order processing, payments, and cash handling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld during food handling, preparation, and serving.
• Manage cash register transactions accurately using POS systems; handle cash, credit cards, and digital payments responsibly.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and serving.
• Support sales efforts by engaging with customers to promote menu items and upsell when appropriate.
• Follow health and safety regulations related to food industry standards and café operations.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee/boba tea service is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
