Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure a visually appealing store environment
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and organizing products for easy access
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, professional interaction
• Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and cashiering duties efficiently
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail math enhances performance in this role
