Are you an experienced construction professional with a keen eye for detail and strong estimating skills? Join our dynamic team as an Estimator and play a vital role in assessing and planning construction projects for multi-family properties.

About the Role

  • Evaluate construction deficiencies in multi-family properties and determine necessary improvements for code compliance.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for property repairs.
  • Work closely with supervisors to ensure accurate estimates and bid packages.
  • Conduct site inspections with clients, sales representatives, and insurance adjusters.
  • Prepare repair estimates using Xactimate in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and negotiate settlements.
  • Provide construction expertise during contract negotiations.
  • Assist operations and office staff with proper documentation throughout the bidding process.
  • Offer insights on material and labor cost estimating.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address construction issues and propose solutions.

Qualifications

  • Construction experience is required (multi-family renovation experience required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret multi-family construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of integrity.

  • Experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage is a plus.
