Position Summary
The Electrical Service Technician is responsible for providing professional service to GEMCO's commercial and industrial customers throughout Central Indiana. This position performs troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of electrical components and wiring, as well as small project work including remodels, tenant finishes, and system upgrades. The Technician works independently and with teammates to resolve electrical issues efficiently and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems, components, and wiring.
  • Lead and complete small-scale projects such as remodels, tenant improvements, and electrical upgrades.
  • Obtain vendor pricing for necessary repair parts and coordinate with service support.
  • Submit quotes, work orders, and service documentation promptly using GEMCO's Service Field App.
  • Accurately enter customer, site, equipment, and materials information into service records.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on-site to explain issues, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with Dispatch and Service Support teams.
  • Assist teammates with diagnosing and resolving electrical issues both in-person and remotely.
  • Participate in the 24-hour emergency service on-call rotation as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Dispatch or Management.

  • Perform tasks on flat or slightly sloped roofs in varying weather conditions.
  • Drive a company service vehicle as required.
