E&E Capital Management, LLC manages professionally operated multifamily communities. We are seeking an experienced full-time Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations and participate in an on-call rotation limited strictly to emergency situations after normal business hours.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of a multifamily property through general maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and unit readiness. This role also includes participation in a scheduled on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance issues only.
Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working for a property management company or in a multifamily maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
- Complete unit make-readies and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during assigned on-call shifts (e.g., water leaks, HVAC outages, electrical hazards, safety issues).
- Properly diagnose issues, make safe repairs, and determine when vendor escalation is required.
- Accurately complete work orders and document all maintenance and emergency activity.
- Communicate professionally with residents, management, and vendors.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working for a property management company or in multifamily maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs).
- Ability to work independently and respond calmly during emergency situations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong time-management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA 608 certification
- HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications
- Prior experience with emergency on-call rotations in a multifamily setting
Schedule & On-Call Expectations
- Full-time, daytime schedule during regular business hours
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule
- On-call work is limited strictly to emergency situations only
- No routine or non-urgent maintenance is expected after hours
