Job Title: Retail Manager (Dispensary Operations)

Location: Atlanta, GA (In Person)
Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 (Full-Time)

Role Overview

TheraTrue is hiring a Retail Manager (Dispensary Operations) to lead the daily execution of store standards at our Atlanta dispensary. This role is focused on consistent, hands-on retail leadership: running shifts, supporting the team on the floor, ensuring inventory and POS accuracy, maintaining a polished customer environment, and following established compliance and operational procedures.

This is an ideal role for a strong retail operator who enjoys taking clear standards and making sure they're carried out while building a team that delivers a reliable, welcoming, and compliant customer experience.

An Overview of What You'll Be Responsible For:

Daily Store Execution & Shift Leadership

• Lead the day-to-day flow of store operations, including shift oversight, coverage coordination, and floor leadership.
• Ensure opening/closing routines, shift handoffs, and daily checklists are completed consistently and correctly.
• Maintain a steady, professional rhythm on the sales floor by resolving issues quickly and keeping the team aligned.

Customer Experience & Front-of-House Standards

• Maintain a customer environment that is welcoming, organized, and service-forward.
• Coach team members on customer service behaviors, professionalism, and communication standards (including phone etiquette).
• Address customer questions and concerns with calm, solutions-focused service recovery.

Sales Floor Support & Performance Coaching

• Reinforce daily selling behaviors through coaching, real-time feedback, and shift-level accountability.
• Support execution of store promotions, product features, and basic sales initiatives to help the team meet performance goals.
• Monitor service flow and floor productivity to reduce bottlenecks and improve customer satisfaction.

POS Accuracy, Pricing Integrity & Retail Discipline

• Oversee daily use of Dutchie POS (and related tools) to ensure accurate transactions and clean reporting.
• Maintain pricing accuracy, discount integrity, and register discipline—ensuring retail math and transaction processes are followed properly.
• Identify and correct POS errors or procedural breakdowns quickly to prevent repeat issues.

Inventory Control, Merchandising & Stock Readiness

• Maintain consistent inventory processes: receiving, replenishment, cycle counts, reconciliation, and discrepancy follow-up.
• Ensure product presentation and merchandising standards are maintained to support a clean, intuitive shopping experience.
• Support purchasing coordination and vendor communication as needed to maintain stock readiness and reduce out-of-stocks.

Cash Handling & Store Administrative Controls

• Ensure cash handling procedures are followed, including daily reconciliation, deposit prep, and internal controls.
• Support store administrative follow-through tied to scheduling, payroll inputs (as applicable), recordkeeping, and operational documentation.

Team Supervision, Training & Onboarding

• Support hiring efforts by participating in interviews, onboarding, and employee orientation.
• Train and coach staff on store procedures, compliance habits, customer service expectations, and POS/inventory workflows.
• Help reinforce a respectful, inclusive workplace culture rooted in accountability and teamwork.

Compliance & Safety Execution

• Maintain strict adherence to Georgia cannabis regulations and internal SOPs related to dispensing, security, and safety standards.
• Keep required documentation organized and audit-ready; support inspection readiness through consistent daily execution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience with direct team supervision (required).
• Cannabis retail experience preferred; cannabis retail management strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems and retail software; Dutchie POS experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in inventory control, merchandising standards, and loss-prevention mindset.
• Comfortable with cash controls, reconciliation routines, and retail math accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, organization, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-first mindset with a professional presence and strong phone etiquette.
