Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas is a privately owned Intermediate Care Facility specializing in the care and treatment of residents (birth - 21) with severe to profound developmental and medical complex needs. We are looking for an energetic, flexible, full licensure SLP professional to join our collaborative therapy team. While working 40 hours a week you will provide classroom inclusive treatment and traditional one-on-one treatment in a combined school/medical environment. At PCCA we focus on the whole child with a multidisciplinary team approach in the treatment process with no billing restraints.

  • Review social history, psychological, medical, and previous therapy reports
  • Administer appropriate tests and evaluate to determine an appropriate plan of care
  • Develop appropriate goals/objectives and treatment plans for each client
  • Complete daily, monthly, and annual documentation
  • Coordinate care with other medical disciplines
  • Evaluate patients for equipment and special feeding needs
  • Collaborate with COTA (s)

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology or CSD program
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Current Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Good understanding of aseptic techniques for infection control
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to remain calm under stress
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, lift, reach, crouch, kneel, walk, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently
  • Ability to monitor and respond to medical equipment, interactions, distinguish smells and temperatures

Safety sensitive position

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
