Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained to deliver high-quality meals for our guests. Previous experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant settings is highly valued, and candidates should be committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to menu specifications
  • Cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation and quality standards
  • Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to during food preparation and service
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods, including plating, garnishing, and serving dishes as needed
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and other culinary tools
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering services
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Experience in fine dining or high-volume kitchens is preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus
  • Culinary expirence advantageous but not required
