Duties

• Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients according to menu specifications and safety standards
• Cook and assemble menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and managing waste disposal efficiently
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and maintaining presentation standards
• Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
• Serve as a team player by supporting fellow kitchen staff during busy service hours and ensuring smooth operations

Experience

• Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or cafeteria is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food handling, and meal preparation enhances your candidacy
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques are beneficial for this role
• Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices ensures compliance with health regulations
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food service procedures, and general culinary experience will help you excel in this position
